MRS CELIA DOWDEN

Cllr Celia Dowden - Profile A retired teacher of secondary pupils with learning difficulties. Celia has been a Borough councillor since 2003 serving on the Overview & Scrutiny Committee, which develops policy and holds the Cabinet to account Standards Committee which promotes and maintains high standards of conduct by the borough and parish members.

Through her interest and experience of young people she has worked closely with the borough community safety team. Celia is a also; A Member of the Southampton & South West Youth Offending Panel and A Mentor for the Rainbow Project, which supports young people into work placements“These are challenging times for any level of government. Delivering efficient, effective services; safeguarding our area and the environment and endeavouring to make North Baddesley a safe and cohesive community are my priorities.”
